Pastoral Care

At St Laurence’s we believe that Pastoral Care permeates all aspects of school life. It reflects the values, attitudes, beliefs and

practices of our Catholic faith and involves all members of our school community – students, teachers, parents, and all other adults who contribute to the wellbeing of each student.

The framework for our student wellbeing program provides a flexible, whole-school approach to improving student's mental health and wellbeing by:

  • Creating positive school communities founded on respectful relationships and a sense of belonging and inclusion
  • Teaching students skills for good social and emotional development
  • Collaborating with families
  • Recognising and supporting the mental health of our students
  • Providing opportunities for professional development in pastoral care
  • Providing quality teaching / learning opportunities
