Religious Education

The Bathurst Diocese has created a dedicated Religious Education program that our school implements, providing rich learning experiences from Kindergarten through to Year Six. Through a variety of experiences the Religious Education curriculum nurtures the natural capacity that young students have for curiosity, imagination and wonder. In line with other key learning areas, quality teaching and learning is the focus of Religious Education where knowledge about the Catholic faith is supported by current methods and quality resources.

We provide a comprehensive range of opportunities and experiences for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate our Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Diocese.

Students at St Laurence’s Primary attend whole school celebrations, which include feast day Masses and liturgies, Parish Masses, Retreat and Reflection experiences and the opportunity to participate in Sacramental programs.
