Positive Behaviours For Learning

This framework teaches and reinforces positive behaviours in our school community and brings together the whole-school community to contribute to developing a positive, safe and supportive culture.
Our schoolwide social behavioural expectations are to be:
- Respectful - being kind to others and having good manners
- Responsible - making good choices to do the right thing
- Safe - behaving in a way that keeps everyone free from harm
To assist students to learn these schoolwide social behavioural expectations we:
- Identify PBL focuses and explicitly teach the behavioural expectations
- Provide ongoing specific positive reinforcement (Gotchas) and feedback to students who display these behavioural expectations
- Follow a cycle of presenting clear behaviours, explicitly teaching behavioural expectations, re-teaching, supporting and reinforcing students demonstrating behavioral expectations
